Delaware Canal Cleanup
Saturday, April 13, 2024, 09:00am
Contact : Jim Knipper & Gordon Heisler
Location : Delaware Canal

The meeting place will be at the Washington Crossing Park parking lot, RT 532 & General Stark Road, immediately across the 532 bridge on the left. Gloves, trash bags and further information will be provided to participants. We suggest wearing layers of clothing and rubber soled shoes. If the weather is questionable, you will be notified by 8 AM of that morning via email if the event is postponed. The rain date would be the following Saturday, April 20th, same time and place. For a full description of the Canal Clean-Up Day and other volunteer activities planned to “freshen up” the Canal during 2024, go to the Friends of the Delaware Canal website: If you are not yet a FODC member, I’d encourage you to consider joining as 90% of your membership contribution will be reinvested in preserving and improving a historic park resource that runs through Washington Crossing. If you have any questions for this Clean-Up day, please reach out to Gordon or to Jim in order to volunteer your time or obtain additional information. Thanks to everyone who has helped in Canal Clean Up day in years past, and we look forward to welcoming any new participants this year.
